God Gives Me Hope

Verse of the Day:

I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living! Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD! – Psalm 27:13-14 (ESV)

Introduction

Life doesn’t always go as planned. Sometimes it feels like setbacks, disappointment, or failure are all around us. It is easy to get discouraged and feel like hope is lost.

Truth from Scripture

Psalm 27:13-14 reminds us that God’s goodness is real — and (VERY IMPORTANT…) worth waiting for. Even when life seems hard, waiting on the Lord builds strength, courage, and patience. Hope isn’t wishful thinking. It is so much more than that. It is trusting that God is faithful, and His plans are good.

Why This Matters for You

Patience can sometimes feel impossible. You want answers now — friends to understand you, problems to disappear, dreams to come true. But God’s timing is perfect, even if we don’t understand it. Waiting doesn’t mean doing nothing. It means trusting Him, growing in your faith, and holding onto the truth that He is good.

Encouragement for Today

Even when things are hard, you can have hope. God’s goodness will show itself in your life. Stay strong, trust Him, and have courage — because the One whose promises never fail is at work on your behalf.

Challenge of the Week

Write down one area where you need to trust God’s timing. Each day, read it and pray to God that you will wait for Him. Pray for Him to strengthen your heart, and to continue to show you His goodness.

Closing Thought

We have to remember that hope is not passive. It is trusting God in the middle of waiting. It is using your time, while waiting, to better yourself and to grow in your faith. It is remaining confident that His goodness will always arrive.
